I hope everyone had
a fun relaxing Waitangi Weekend.
Let’s see what’s
happening this week in R11.
SWIMMING
Our swimming begins
this week. Please ensure all items of clothing and swimming gear are named with
permanent pen. Togs, goggles, hat and towel need to be in a named bag please.
All children are reminded that no swimming cap = no swimmming.
SWIMMING HELPERS
Thank you to those
that have offered to help out with swimming this term. If you could arrive
5-10mins ahead of the lesson that would be greatly appreciated.

SUNHATS
Sunhats are
compulsory for terms 1 and 4. Please ensure your child’s hat is clearly named
in permanent ink.
STATIONERY
Thank you to
everyone for getting their stationery in last week as we are all now able to
get into our book work.
MEET THE TEACHER
EVENING
Thursday 11
February 6.30pm-8pm
I will be in class
this Thursday evening to meet with you and discuss any questions you may have
about our timetable, class organisation and curriculum. I look forward to
seeing you there.
READING
Reading books and
logs will be coming home again from this week. Please fill in the log each
night you read with your child and return this each Friday morning.
FAST WORDS &
SPELLING
I will be testing
those children that have not completed their fast words trains and those that
have begun to spell will be bringing home their words to learn on Friday.
LIBRARY DAY
This
is every Wednesday at 12.00pm. Please find a safe place to keep the library
books at home.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY –
every second week
Is this Thursday at
2.15pmin the school hall. All parents and whanau are welcome to attend.
